International Astronomy Day is observed two times a year. While one is celebrated in Spring and the other one is in Autumn. This year the days will fall on 7 May and 1 October 2022. The day is celebrated globally to make people aware about the space and to generate a love and enthusiasm towards astronomy in them.
As a part of International Astronomy Day Celebrations a series of intercollegiate programmes are conducted by Physical Science association' FISIKA QUIMIKA ' of Baselious Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakara on 7th May,2022. The programmes are conducted in the online platform. B.ed and M.ed trainees from various colleges participated in it.
We had conducted three programmes in association with astronomy day celebrations. We organise a caption writing competition, story writing competition and Space Battle- Lunch Time. A picture about colonization in space , our vision in future life is given and asked them to write captions. Many attractive captions are written and send to us by contestants. An idea is given and ask them to cook up a story about it. Space Battle Lunch Time is a creative and wonderful program in which the idea is to crate a solar system your raw or cooked vegetables, fruits, grains etc and send to us . All the three programmes are very effective and we had got a lot of entries. First ,second, and third winners got E-Certificates. The winners are announced and certificated are distributed on 13th May, 2022.
We wonderfully planned and coordinate the programmes. It was really a big experience for us
