WEEKEND REFLECTION -4

     Weekend reflection-4 was conducted on 28/01/2023. It was conducted in the seminar hall in the presence of all teachers and teacher trainees. The reflection begins at 10.30Am and lasted to 12.20pm . Firstly Riju sir gave us instructions regarding the reflection. Teacher trainees representing all the practicing schools come and presented their last week reflection on behalf of all other peers. I presented our last week reflection as representative of my group who are practicing at M .T.G.H.S kottarakara.  All representatives share their teaching experiences and through this Reflection we realised that all are improved a lot in their teaching.
     After reflection teachers share their experiences while visiting schools for observation. Riju sir pointed out our common mistakes in teaching. The reflection ended by 12 .20Pm.

 

Republic day celebrations @M.T.G.H.S Kottarakara

 26th January 2023 was the 18th day of my teaching practice. Today was a special day. India celebrates its 74th republic day. We ,five B ed trainees from natural science and physical science optional jointly prepared models of corona virus, Rocket, solar system, a model of a tree, and several pluck cards in association with mentor teachers and students to create awareness among general public about the need to celebrate science related days. Today we help students in makeup to fit into the role of great scientists Sir Issac Newton, madam Curie, Albert Einstein and Our missile man of India A PJ Abdul Kalam. All 14 teacher trainees are assigned with different duties in the republic day rally . All students are in different dress codes to remember the freedom fighters and great personalities in the freedom struggle of India. More than thousand students and also  teachers take part in the rally from M.T.G.H.S kottarakara. Students from many schools are arrived to become the Part of rally. 

Our school got first prize in overall performance from the hands of Finance  minister Sri.K.N.Balagopal. It was an unforgettable experience and memories are everlasting in my mind.

WEEKEND REFLECTION -3

 Weekend reflection -3 was conducted on 21/01/2023, Saturday. It was conducted optional wise on respective optional classes. The reflection of physical science optional was conducted on our optional class in the presence of Vineeth sir. The reflection was began at 2.00pm and ended by 3.30pm. All of us shared our experiences from the last week. Even though we have many works and activities instead of teaching in schools, we all began to do it successfully mad easily on compared with first week's. Sir also shared our common mistakes and positives he noted on the time of observation.
I personally feel very happy that I improved a lot in my teaching. The reflection ended by 3.30pm.

INNOVATIVE LESSON PLAN -ROLE PLAY

 I taught the topic "propagation of sound" the unit "sound" as an innovative way using role play method of teaching.

I asked students about the play in advance and selected the students for the play. I gave them dialogues and asked to arrived as prepared on the day of role play. I gave them necessary instructions regarding the execution of play and dialogues delivery. They did it very well. Mentor teacher and students observers observe the play and mark the performance of students. Prize was distributed to best performance on the basis of this.

After the play I summarise the content. It gave them activity cards and asked to fill it in groups.

It was a nice experience to taught a topic of science in role play method.

Weekend reflection -2

The weekend reflection 2 was conducted on 14/01/2023, Saturday. It was conducted on general seminar hall of B.M.M II T.C Kottarakara. The teachers from all our optional subjects Malayalam, English,maths, natural science, physical science and social science are presented in the hall at the time of reflection. Our principal Roy sir firstly gave as an idea about how to day reflection. The reflection begins at 11.15am and ended by 1.30pm. Teacher trainees representing each of 24practicing schools presented their reflection. Many of us face similar issues in the schools. 

The last week was mostly good for me. I succeed to make a bond with my students. Now I can took classes more effectively when compared to previous week.

Weekend reflection -1

 The weekend reflection of teaching practice was conducted on 08/01/2023, sunday.our optional teacher sri.vineeth sir gave leadership to the reflection which conducted through online mode on google meet. The weekend reflection started by 02.00Pm and ended by 05.00Pm .All of us from our physical science optional shared our experiences during the time of one week teaçhing on school with others.This reflection was based in the experiences from 04/01/2023 to 07/01/2023. Many of us have worst experiences from schools.

  Teacher trainees shared how they handle problematic situations occured suddenly while teaching. Through this Reflection we realise that other trainees also face similar experience from schools.The experiences gained through reflection surely help us to make improvements in our teaching styles and also helps to neglect unnecessary occurences. The reflection was conducted through online since Saturday was working day for all schools. The reflection ended by 05.00pm.

INNOVATIVE MODEL

 I prepared an innovative model of displacement reactions from the unit non metals. I presented the model in front of my students as third activity. I showed them the displacement of hydrogen by zinc using this model. Students are seen to be very interested while taking class using model. I asked them questions after explaining the displacement reactions using model. They responded very well.
