INNOVATIVE LESSON PLAN ROLE PLAY- "PURE SUBSTANCES & MIXTURES "

 A role play on the topic pure substances and mixtures from the unit basic constituents of matter in the SCERT Basic Science textbook class VIII part -1 was conducted on the VIII-E class of M.T.H.S for girls kottarakara. Students for performing role play was selected in advance and dialogues are given to them in advance and asked them to learn it . Selected students played roleplay on 30th June 2023 in the class. Some of the students acted as judges and valued the performance. I also gave price to the best performer in the play.

ലഹരിവിരുദ്ധ ദിനാചരണം @ M.TH.S For Girls Kottarakkara

 








June 26 is celebrated as international  day against Drug abuse and illicit trafficking. This day was celebrated to strengthen action and cooperation in acheiving a world free of drug abuse. Anti drug day celebrations was held in the M.T.H.S for girls kottarakara.  The program  was inagurated by Sri.M.M.Jose Dy.Sp District Crime Branch,Kollam. He delivered a eye opening speech and took anti drug day oath and it was chanted by students. School Headmaster Sri.Jacob Abhraham presided over the function students conducted antidrug day programs in the assembly. Students in the red cross hold pluck cards and gave awareness regarding the program

WEEKEND REFLECTION -3

 The last week of teaching practice was good. But I lost many periods due to programs in school. As a result of that I didn't get enough classes to complete my lesson plans. Even after 13 days of my teaching practice I completed only seven lesson plans. 

Last week reading day celebrations and yoga day celebrations was conducted in the school. 

After thirteen days of teaching practice weekend reflection-3 was conducted in the College. Reflection begins at 10.00 in main seminar hall . principal Riju sir gave an introduction regarding the reflection. All the faculties are presented in the hall at the time of reflection. Teaching trainees representing 22 practicing schools marked their last week reflection on behalf of their peers .

HSS Muttara ,Gopika from MTHS Aarumurikada said reflection.

Trainees shared many of the problems faced by them in their practicing schools. Most of us lost our class periods due to programs in schools and strikes. As a result we face problems to finish our lesson plans and we cannot completed planned lesson plans even after thirteen days. Some of us faced problems from mentor teachers attitude, classroom management issues etc . After all even in the time of problems we tried our best to took classes effectively. After reflection Riju sir gave us instructions regarding how to say reflection and the need to point out things to be said in reflection in advance. After reflection our faculties also shared their observation experiences.

Reflection ended by 12.00Am.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

 June 21was celebrated as international yoga day. Special assembly was conducted in Marthoma high school for girls kottarakara in connection with yoga day. The assembly was lead by class 10-C  Students. Headmaster Jacob Abhraham presided over the assembly. Physical education teacher Sri.Akhil delivered a speech about the importance of yoga in our life. 

After that a group of students performed some yoga asanas. The assembly was dispersed by 10.15Am.

ദേശീയ വായനദിനാഘോഷം @ മാർത്തോമ്മാ ഹൈസ്കൂൾ ഫോർ ഗേൾസ് കൊട്ടാരക്കര

June 19 was celebrated as National reading day. This day was celebrated as the memory of the death anniversary of Sri P.N.Panicker who is known as the father of library movement in Kerala. Today we are living in an era of digital technology. Young children are born and brought up in the midst of technology. So celebrating reading days are contemporary relevant. Reading and books have an important role in the social upliftment of human beings.

Today special assembly was conducted in M.T.H.S for girls kottarakara. The assembly was conducted by class 10-B students. Dr Suman Alexander, retired principal St.Gregorios college kottarakara was the chief guest of reading day program. She inaugurated and delivered a wonderful speech about the importance of reading. Honourable headmaster Sri Jacob Abraham inaugurated the Vidhyarangam kalasahithya vedhi and released the Vayana pathippu. School choir sung a beautiful song about the importance of reading. വായനാ മൂല competition was conducted in the school.The competition was conducted as upper primary and high school sessions. All students participated in this class wise and make a wonderful reading corner in their classes.

WEEKEND REFLECTION -2

The last week of teaching practice was memorable. I completed almost 6 lesson plans till Friday . I showed experiments and videos while taking classes. This make classes more interesting.



 Second weekend reflection of the phase- 2 teaching practice was conducted optional wise . The reflection was conducted in the physical science optional class under the leadership of our optional teacher Swathi Mohan.

For us the last week was special. Our optional teacher Swathi Mohan observed our classes on friday 16/06/2023. This was the first optional observation of phase-2 Teaching practice. Teacher pointed out our mistakes and also appreciated our efforts .

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY


 

Special assembly was conducted on today 16/06/2023 at M.T.H.S for girls kottarakara. This was the second assembly of this academic year. The assembly was conducted by class 10-A students. The prayer was sung by school choir. The 10-A students read news and thought for the day. Respected principal Jacob sir and senior teacher Smt.Mini gave necessary instructions to the students regarding the etiquettes to be practiced in the school. we also become part of assembly and handled discipline duty during and after assembly. 
Today our optional teacher Swathi Mohan observed our classes. This was the first optional observation of phase-2 Teaching practice.

INNOVATIVE MODEL

 I took the arrangement of particles in different states of matter from the unit properties of matter as my innovative model. This topic was from the SCERT Basic Science part -1 Textbook of VIIIth standard students.

 I made the still model of arrangement of  in a cardboard as still model and present in my VIII-E class while taking class on this topic. Students keenly observe and comment the model while I taking class using this .I felt they got the idea easily using this model. I took class on 5th period based on my innovative model.
