FINAL DAY OF PHASE-2 TEACHING PRACTICE

Fourth semester teaching practice as a part of Kerala University B.ed curriculum ended today. I completed my long journey of 36 teaching days at Marthoma highschool for girls kottarakara. It was a nice experience.

As regular I reached school in the morning and did my daily activities. At the first interval a special gathering was held in the staff room for giving sendoff to us. Respected Headmaster Sri.Jacob Abhraham said about our activities at school and also specially mentioned our helps during republic day celebrations and conducting Nallapadam stall etc. Nallapadam coordinator Christy teacher also praised our efforts we took for the success of nallapadam stall. Senior teachers and staff secretary Sri. Roy sir also marked their words. It was a nice feeling that every teachers and the school realised and mentioned our efforts . As the budding teachers it is essentially a fuel for our journey. I gave sweets to the students and also collected feedback from them and gave all words for their education. I also gave gifts to the mentor teachers. We 14,coordinated and brought a book and hand over it the HM for the school library. 

It was a wonderful experience in my life and career. A mixed feeling of happiness and moments of sorrow. This journey helped me to grow a lot as a teacher and as a person .

 

   

ഭാഷാ വാങ്മയം

ഭാഷാ വാങ്മയം program was held in M.T.H.S for Girls kottarakara. This program was conducted to find the students who have interest in Malayalam language. The aptitude test was conducted and a student from both high school and upper primary was selected to participate in sub district competition.

              

           

            

         

സ്കൂൾ കലോത്സവം നാദം 2K23 @ MTHS For Girls Kottarakara

 

This was the 33rd day of my teaching practice.  Today school Arts festival was held in the Marthoma, highschool for girls, kottarakara. The program was conducted in the school auditorium. The PTA president sri M. Unnikrishnapillai presided over the function. Introductory speech was done by headmaster sri.Jacob Abhraham. The keynote address was by Rev. Alex.p.John LAC vice chairman and welcome speech by Ivy Teacher, program convenor. The programs was held in the two stages students fantastically performed their talents in Various Arts. some performances in items like Monoact are appreciable. The chief guest of the program is Smt.Rekha subin, Famous cini Artist. Judges who are famous in art forms judged traditional art forms. The success of the program shows the hardwork and dedication of both teachers and students. The noted, part of the day was the "നല്ലപാഠം സ്റ്റാൾ" Conducted by us. We 14 coordinated and worked for the success of it. It was a great achievement for us that we can make a huge sale of about 20,000Rs . Headmaster and Nallapadam coordinator Christy teacher appreciated us for this.

ACHIEVEMENT TEST

 Achievement test was conducted on VIII- E class of M.T.H.S for Girls kottarakara. The exam was held in the 5th period. The questions are prepared based on the thirty lesson plans taken by me in that class. The portions are from " The properties of matter, Basic constituents of matter, The measurements and units and Motion". 

             

   

 

WEEKEND REFLECTION -7

 Weekend reflection -7 was conducted optional wise on 23rd sunday through Google meet. The reflection was held at 08.00pm in the presence of Kripa teacher.

Teacher trainees representing each practicing schools shared their last week experiences on behalf of their peers. 

Ayana Mohanan from M.T.H.S for girls kottarakara,jissa from St:mary's kizhakketheruvu, sreelekshmi from SKVHSS Thrikkanamangal,chinchu from MAM HSS Chengamanadu,Liji from Govt.HSS Vettikavala,Anjali from Govt.HSS Muttara,Manju from Marthoma H.S Aarumurikada, Akshaya from Govt.Hss Kuzhimathikkad, Karishma from MGD Girls Kundara, and Selma from MV HSS Peroor said reflection.

Most us as completed almost 30 lesson plans and few conducted achievement test also. Some of us completed  almost  topics and also started preparations for achievement test. Then teacher shared her experiences from observations and also gave us instructions regarding pending works. She took attendance and reflection ended by 08.30pm.

Moon Day -Documentary Presentation

 International moon day celebrations was conducted on Marthoma high school for girls kottarakara. July 20 was celebrated as international moon day. Documentary presentation related to the moon day was held in the school. We physical science B.Ed trainees took initiative for that presentation.

REMEDIAL TEACHING

 Remedial class was conducted on class VIII - E on 20th July 2023 for those who made errors in diagnostic test. The remedial class was taken for the three questions which are incorrected by majority of students. The class was taken after preparing remedial lessons and by showing videos and power point slides .

WEEKEND REFLECTION -6

 Weekend reflection -6 was conducted optional wise on 16th July 2023 via Google meet. The reflection was held in the presence of our optional teacher Kripa.

 Teacher trainees representing each practicing schools shared their last week experiences on behalf of their peers and practicing schools.Tincy from M.T.H.S for girls, kottarakara ,Akhila from St.Mary's HSS Kizhakketheruvu,Lintu from Govt.HSS Vettikavala,Veena from MAM HSS Chengamanadu,Ancy from Govt.HSS Kuzhimathikkad, Karishma from MGD Girls kundara,

Gayathry from Govt.HS Muttara,Ashna from SKV HSS Thrikkanamangal,Selma from MV GHSS Peroor.

Many of us complained about the problem of lack of enough periods. Almost all of us completed 22 lesson plans. After reflection teacher gave us necessary instructions regarding completion of lessons and conducting Achievement test.

വിജയോത്സവം 2023 @ MTHS For girls | Kottarakara

 

 Today special function for appreciating the last year full Aplus winners was held in the school Auditorium. The program വിജയോത്സവം 2023 was inagurated by Sri. kodikkunal suresh M.p. Headmaster sri.Jacob Abhraham gave welcome to everyone and school governing body member Rev. F. k.y.Jacob presided

over the function. The keynote address was done by Sri.SR.Ramesh Kottarakara Municipal chairman and Many persons of Marthoma Corporate management governing body Joined in the function.

Merit awards and certificates are distributed to 135 full winners and 25 Nine APlus Winners.School Former  student and last year civil service rank holder Smt. Nihala, K. shereef was honoured in this function.  We Joined hands with teachers and did all activities for the smooth Conduction of program. 

WEEKEND REFLECTION -5

 Weekend reflection-5 of the second phase teaching was conducted on 08/07/2023 at physical science optional class room. The reflection was conducted in the leadership of optional teacher Kripa. 

Teacher trainees practicing in every schools said their last week reflection. Many trainees are absent due to PSC exams.

Akshaya, Ancy and Sivakumar from Kuzhimathikkad school, Ashna,sreelekshmi from SKV HSS Thrikkanamangal, Karishma ans Susan from MGD Girls kundara, jissa and akhila from St.Marys HSS kizhakketheruvu,Gouri, Ayana and Tincy from M.T.G.H.S for girls kottarakara,Selma from MVGHSS Peroor,Sandeep from Marthoma HSS Aarumurikada,Lintu from Govt.HSS Vettikavala, Anjali and Gayathry from Govt.HS Muttara said their last week experiences in practicing schools.

Since this was the beginning time of new academic year there are lots of programs in every schools and also holidays due to strike, rain etc cause loss of teaching periods. It created problems to complete our portions.Our General observations completed on last week.Last week most of us conducted Diagnostic test and test paper in schools after completing one chapter. In our school we face a lots of problems due to loss of periods.

After reflection teacher gave us instructions regarding preparing achievement test.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

 The diagnostic test was conducted on 5th July 2023 for class VIII - E students at Marthoma highschool for girls kottarakara. The test was aimed to find the difficult areas of students and to give remedial teaching. 

I conducted Diagnostic test after completing my 15 lessons from physics and chemistry. Proper instructions are given to the students before starting the exam. The questions are of multiple choice type, Fill in the blanks ,True or false and Match the following. After the papers are collected from students .
