INTERNATIONAL BOOK DAY📚2022

 As a part of international book day and copy right day celebration 2022 English department of baselious marthoma Mathews II training college kottarakara organised a quiz competition named 'Quizizz' on 23rd April 2022 through online.Teacher trainees from many departments had participated in it. Ancy from our  physical science got first prize and chinchu got second prize in the competition. I got third prize.

WORLD EARTH 🌎 DAY 2022

The world Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year to create awareness about the vital need to protect our planet from pollution. This year 2022 the theme of world Earth day celebration is "INVEST IN YOUR PLANET ".

As a part of world Earth day celebration 2022 Natural science department of baselious marthoma Mathews II training college kottarakara was conducted an online quiz competition through WhatsApp. The teacher trainees from all the five departments participated in it. Saranya from English department won first prize, sreedevi from social science won second prize and shintu from our physical science department got third prize.

SOCIAL VISIT AND SUPW SERVICE @ DEENA BHAVAN PUNALUR

 On 11th April 2022 we 27students of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II training college kottarakara visited missionaries of charity Deena bhavan punalur. It group include 24students from physical science department and 3from natural science. This social visit was as a part of our two year B.Ed curriculum.

We reached Deena bhavan around 2.30Pm . After communicating with the mother superior we entered into the deena bhavan around 3.00pm. The Deena bhavan accomodates around 47 old mothers .some of them are with some mental illness,and also 7 sisters of mother Theresa missionaries of charity are there.All mothers are in the dining hall for communicating with us. It was a heart breaking experience .We sung songs as small groups and also performed dance. Some of the mother's sung songs beautifully for us. The happiness in their eyes when they spent moments with us make my heart filled with joy. The visit helped me to polish myself my thoughts and need and necessity to visit such places. 

We handover the food items and old clothes bring with us to the mother. Also hand overed a small contribution of money from us.

We eat snacks and tea with them. The hours spent with them are unforgettable. We promised them to come again . We depart from deena bhavan by 4.45Pm.

FISIKA QUIMIKA -PHYSICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

 

Our physical science department association inauguration of baselios marthoma mathews II training college kottarakara was conducted on 8th April 2022 from 01.45-3.45pm in main seminar hall.

The program started with flash mob conducted by physical science trainees in front of college. Liji k Raju from our physical science have welcome to the function.Our college principal Roy sir gave presidential speech and inagurated our association. He also present our association logo to the whole college. We named our association as "FISIKA QUIMIKA". 

We developed a blog to put notes of general papers.This blog was created as our association activity. Our Blog name is "PHYSICALSCIENCECOSMOS " and our dear Sivapriya teacher,head of department of natural science inagurated our official blog page . Vineeth sir our departmental head and Sivapriya teacher from natural science department say felicitations to the programme. Gayatri from our department say vote of thanks to the programme.

We conducted three games . In the first game two representative from each department participated. we gave clues about famous inventions of scientists and said them to paste the clues in the charts of related scientist.

In the second gave we display malayalm songs in English and say them to find the correct Malayalam song.

The English and natural science department won the games.Riju sir distributed prizes to them.

The programmes ended with our dance .I also participated in the dance .

CAPACITY BUILDING AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOP

A capacity building and leadership training workshop was conducted on Baselios Marthoma Mathews II training college kottarakara on Friday,8th April 2022, from 9.30Am-12.30Am.This workshop was included in our Edu 01 knowledge and curriculum: philosophical and sociological perspectives syllabus.

The workshop begins with prayer by physical science department. Then our college principal Roy sir introduced the facilcilator to us.This workshop was taken by Sri.E.K.Jijan, Assistant professor, Department of English,Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram.

Capacity building and leadership training workshop was conducted with the aim of developing leadership quality among teacher trainees and make them prepare to face and handle situations in classroom and future  life. Capacity building refers to the process of changing attitudes and behaviours, imparting knowledge and developing skills while maximizing the benefits of participation, knowledge exchange and ownership.

The class was very informative, friendly and thought provoking.He displayed many mental ability development games in slides and we answered it well .A  session on what are the essential belongings we taken with us on dangerous escaping situations was conducted by dividing the 105 trainees into ten groups. It help us to think the essential commodities needed to take in such situations.

It was a nice experience.The workshop ended by 12.30 pm .Athira from Malayalam department say vote of thanks on behalf of us.

WORLD HEALTH DAY

Every year World health day is celebrated on 7th April. The theme of world health day celebrations 2022 is "our planet , our health".

An elocution competition was conducted by natural science department of B M M II training college kottarakara in connection with world health day celebrations. Student teacher trainees from five departments participated in it. Akshay John from social science department got First Prize and Athira.H from Malayalam department got second prize .Riju John sir,head of the department of social science distributed prizes to the winners.

In the midst of a pandemic, a polluted planet, increasing diseases like cancer, asthma, heart disease, on World Health Day 2022, WHO will focus global attention on urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy and foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being.
